This is a plain-language draft written to accurately describe how MangaRecs actually works. It hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer. Have it checked before relying on it for App Store / Play Store submission or any formal compliance need. The governing-law section below is a placeholder pending that review.

What MangaRecs is

MangaRecs is a manga, manhwa, manhua, and webcomic discovery and progress-tracking app, with this website as its companion catalog and account hub. The app is currently in testing ahead of its App Store / Google Play release.

We don't host content

MangaRecs does not host, upload, or distribute any copyrighted manga, manhwa, manhua, or webcomic content. The app and site help you discover titles and keep track of what you're reading elsewhere — they don't replace or substitute the original publishers or platforms. Catalog metadata shown here (titles, cover art, synopses) is sourced from AniList's public API.

Accounts

You need to be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Provide accurate information and keep your password secure — you're responsible for activity under your account.
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us (below).

Acceptable use

Don't scrape, reverse engineer, or abuse the service beyond normal personal use, and don't create accounts through automated or bulk means.

Availability

MangaRecs is pre-launch software. Features, design, and availability may change as it's developed, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted uptime.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You're free to stop using MangaRecs and delete your account at any time.

No warranty

MangaRecs is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or site.

Changes

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
